The 6/6–26/35kV XLPE Insulated Power Cable is a medium-voltage (MV) cable designed for dependable power transmission and distribution in utility networks, substations, industrial plants, and large-scale infrastructure projects. It uses cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, which provides excellent dielectric strength, low electrical loss, and strong thermal endurance for long-term, stable operation under continuous load. A typical MV XLPE cable construction includes a copper or aluminum conductor, conductor screen, XLPE insulation, insulation screen, metallic screen (copper tape or copper wire), and an outer sheath (PVC/PE/LSZH optional). To suit different installation methods and site conditions, the cable can also be supplied with armoring (STA/SWA) for enhanced mechanical protection, making it suitable for installation in ducts, tunnels, cable trenches, and direct burial systems where reliability and service life are critical.

1) High Reliability and Electrical Stability for MV Distribution Systems

This cable is engineered specifically for the 6/6–26/35kV voltage class, where insulation integrity and electric field control are essential to prevent premature failures. XLPE insulation offers high dielectric strength and strong resistance to electrical stress, helping maintain stable performance throughout the cable’s service life. The combination of conductor screen, insulation screen, and metallic screening helps ensure a more uniform electric field, reducing the likelihood of partial discharge and improving operational safety. For utilities and EPC contractors, this means fewer unexpected outages, more stable grid operation, and higher confidence in long-term network performance—especially on critical feeders and substation connections.

2) Excellent Thermal Endurance and Low Loss for Efficient Power Delivery

XLPE insulation is well known for its superior heat resistance and ability to perform reliably under continuous loading. In real-world applications, this supports stable current-carrying capacity in demanding conditions such as high ambient temperatures, dense cable installations, or heavy industrial loads. At the same time, XLPE features low dielectric loss, helping minimize energy loss during transmission, which is especially valuable for long-distance routes or high-load distribution lines. The result is efficient power delivery, improved thermal stability, and reduced operational risk caused by overheating—helping end users achieve both performance stability and cost-effective system operation over time.

3) Durable Construction with Flexible Options for Different Projects and Environments

This MV XLPE cable can be tailored to meet a wide range of installation environments and customer standards. Buyers can choose copper or aluminum conductors, single-core or three-core designs, and sheath options such as PVC for general applications, PE for improved moisture/chemical resistance, or LSZH for projects with stricter fire-safety and low-smoke requirements. Optional armoring (STA for multi-core / SWA for single-core) provides added resistance to impact, crushing, and external mechanical stress, making the cable suitable for direct burial, tunnels, and harsh job sites. This flexibility allows customers to optimize for performance, compliance, and total installed cost—without compromising durability, safety, or long service life.
